About Pete

I’ve been coaching adults and college students with ADD and ADHD for more than a decade.

Pete Terlaak, ADHD CoachAfter working more than 20 years in the corporate world, I became a certified coach in 2003.

When I was beginning my coaching practice, I became clear that the clientele I wanted to work with were adults with ADHD. Now that I have many years of experience behind me, I know that it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. For me, there is no other career that could be more fulfilling than helping people discover their capabilities, witnessing the changes they’re making, and celebrating their successes with them.

Philosophy and Approach

My coaching focus is adults and college students who live with ADHD. I understand their experience on a very personal level. I received my own ADHD diagnosis as an adult. Therefore, I know for a fact that it is possible to transcend the neurobiological challenges of ADHD and live the life of your dreams.

Along with my focus on ADHD, I believe strongly in coaching the whole person. I am trained as a Life Coach, as well as an ADHD Coach. Working on ADHD-specific challenges, such as organization and productivity, is often a part of my work. But, like most people, my clients also experience other challenges in their lives, such as challenges in relationships, career, school, parenting, and work, to name a few.

Living in Seattle and being a Microsoft job coach since 2004, I also offer a unique understanding of the culture in the tech industry. With my experience, I can be particularly helpful to those who work in the technology sector or in any high-pressure, deadline-oriented industry.
